Jamie Gordon
Jamie is Director of the GGI’s Gold Coast office. Jamie began his professional career on the Gold Coast in 1986 while completing his Bachelor of Architecture Degree at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. After Graduation in 1992 Jamie continued to work on the Gold Coast, where he grew up, and watched develop with an invested interest. Prior to commencing Gordon Gould Ipson Architects Gold Coast, Jamie worked for a local Architectural Practice where he gained invaluable experience in all facets of business of architecture. Working his way from junior to office Manager, Jamie focused his time on designing on medium scale commercial, individual houses and Large Entertainment type building projects throughout the Gold Coast, New South Wales, South Australia and South East Asia.
The formation of GGI brought new prospects, particularly through
government infrastructure type projects, enabling Jamie to add
Education, Institutional and Public Buildings to his skill set. Jamie’s
ethos revolves around clarity in his designs, simple solutions that
react and are sympathetic to the values of environmental design. Jamie
believes in the qualities of small practice ideology in a large practice
environment. Therefore he provides his client's with an honest open
relationship, which listens and reacts to the client's needs. Like all
GGI director’s, Jamie believes in a “hands on” approach to all
commissions, no matter what the size or value of the project, this
ensures delivery of projects on time and within budget.
